I worked on this for almost a year. I used a photo I made during my time in Australia as reference, though I did tweak it obviously 
The original drawing is A3 (twice the size of a normal printing paper) and I used all kinds of pens in thicknesses ranging from .018 to .8 mm
I'm planning on adding some light paint washes to the background to indicate the water the tree is standing in and the line of trees in the background.
